The Punjab government has allocated Rs 107 million for security of Chinese engineers working on the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) project, said sources. The sources said the government has imposed a cut on the total allocation for the project to allocate this amount. These funds have been transferred to the Punjab police department, they added.

According to them, no additional funds have been allocated for the purpose and already allocated fund for the project has been cut to provide funds to the police for security arrangements. The sources said the amount was supposed to be spent on repair of roads adjacent to the OLMT.
